Children &YouthAt St. Alban's, we encourage young people's faith through engaging teaching, joyful participation in worship, and meaningful fellowship.
Our programs create a safe, inclusive environment where children and youth can explore their spirituality, ask questions, and build relationships with God and each other.
St. Alban’s Preschool
Our accredited preschool combines early education with gentle Christian values. Children grow through play-based learning while building connections to parish life through special services. We nurture the whole child in a joyful, caring environment.
Our Chaplain to the Preschool is Jessica Field. She leads Chapel every other week, sends a newsletter to parents every other month, and is available to children, parents, and staff for pastoral care.
Nursery, Elementary, and Jr. High Classes for birth–8th grade
Children explore faith and a relationship with the living God through age-appropriate lessons, stories, and activities every Sunday in Sunday school. These sessions build a foundation for lifelong spiritual growth in a fun, supportive environment. All children gather together in the courtyard for music and prayer before moving to their classes. After class, older children rejoin their families in church for the Eucharist.
Youth Participation in Worship
Young People's Choir | Children and youth share their musical gifts through singing during special services.
All-Ages Handbell Choir | Young ringers join adults in creating beautiful music together, developing skills and confidence.
Youth Acolytes (Age 12+) | Young people serve during worship by carrying the cross and torches and assisting with communion.
Youth Ushers | Youth help greet people as they enter church and hand out bulletins, building a sense of community and developing social skills.
Youth Readers | Youth are regularly scheduled to read the first and second readings from the lectern, encouraging their leadership and connection to the liturgy.

All our teachers and youth leaders are certified in Safeguarding God's Children, an abuse prevention program mandated by the Episcopal Diocese of Arizona. We honor the trust you place in us by maintaining the highest standards of safety and care.
Youth Group
Our youth group offers teens in 6th–12th grade a place to connect, grow spiritually, and serve others. Young people build lasting friendships through regular gatherings, discussions, service projects, and fun activities while deepening their faith journey together.
We generally meet on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of every month. Please reach out to Jessica at stalbansfamilies@gmail.com if you have any questions, and check out our upcoming events below.
