Why make a pledge?
A thoughtful commitment helps our parish plan with confidence.
A pledge is your commitment to give a specific amount during the year. Each fall, we invite households to prayerfully consider their support for St. Alban’s. Knowing what people intend to give helps us prepare a reliable budget and plan our ministries.
Pledging is also a practice of faith: a way to give intentionally and recognize that all we have comes from God. Your commitment can be adjusted if your circumstances change.
To make or update a pledge, ask the parish office for the current pledge form and instructions.
Stewardship also includes sharing our time and talents in service to God and one another.

How your support is used, and how we care for it.
St. Alban’s Church and Preschool are one community with separate budgets. The church relies primarily on parishioner pledges, which provide the foundation of our funding. Sunday offerings, special donations, and occasional fundraising events provide additional support. Consistent giving helps us plan and sustain our ministries year-round.
Giving is a personal, prayerful decision. We believe everything we have comes from God, and many people find that giving a portion of their income deepens their gratitude and faith. The biblical practice of tithing means giving ten percent, but intentional, regular giving at any level supports our shared life. Consider what is right for your circumstances.
Yes. We understand that circumstances change, and you can adjust a pledge if your situation shifts. Contact the parish office if you need to revise your commitment. We appreciate your support, at whatever level is possible for you.
Yes. Our endowment helps provide long-term financial stability, supporting special projects, capital improvements, and ministry for future generations. Contributions can include planned gifts, bequests, and special donations. The parish office can provide the endowment policy and information about making a gift.
St. Alban’s contributes a portion of its income to the Episcopal Diocese of Arizona through a diocesan assessment. This supports mission and ministry across Arizona and beyond, connecting our parish with the wider Episcopal Church. Together, we can do work that extends beyond what any one congregation could accomplish alone.
Our Treasurer and Finance Committee work with staff to develop the annual budget. The Vestry—our elected parish leadership board—reviews and approves it. The budget is then presented to the congregation at the January annual meeting, so parishioners can understand how their contributions support our ministries.
