St. Alban’s Adult Education:
Where Worship & Ministries Come Together.
2025 is bringing some wonderful opportunities for YOU to get engaged with small groups at
St. Alban’s!
In January many programs are starting up again. Sharing our Spiritual Journeys (SOSJ) begins with the book study, Messy Spirituality, a four week discussion of a transformative short work by Mike Yaconelli. If you’re interested in not being perfect, and the difficulties we all have at times with our spirituality, this group is for you! We will start our regular SOSJ sessions on Feb. 6 as we discuss other faith traditions and how they affect our own diverse beliefs. SOSJ happens in an atmosphere of respect and openness. There are two sessions available, Thursday mornings from 10-11:45 and Thursday afternoons from 2-3:45.
If you’ve ever wanted to be a Lector at a Sunday service, then the invaluable one hour training session is available for you. Offered at various times for both new and returning lectors, you will learn and practice the skills for this important ministry. Next classes will be in mid-January. Dates forthcoming.
Our Men’s and Women’s Bible studies are a great place to connect with other people and friends as they learn about and discuss books from both Old and New Testaments. The lively groups meet once a week - Women’s on Mondays from 10am-11:30, and Men’s on Fridays from 11-noon (snacks provided).
You can always come to the church office for directions and information about our Adult Education offerings. If you’re new to St. Alban’s, church in general, or spiritual investigations, you’re not alone. Many of us have questions and desire to be with others to share those thoughts in an atmosphere of tolerance and acceptance of diversity. The Episcopal Church is a wonderful place to find community. As Robin Williams once said about the faith, “No matter what you believe, there is bound to be another Episcopalian who believes the same way.” St. Alban’s Adult Education groups welcome you in the same way Christ does, just as you are!
